Puppetmaker and Puppeteer Tobias Husemann has made a name for himself in recent years by building and presenting large-scale figures and masks, especially with his Giant Puppet Dundu

With the appearance of these Giant Puppets and Masks, shows, events and performances are guaranteed to be spectacular. The Stuttgart based Puppeteer is renowned for thrilling the audience with his creation Dundu. Tobias Husemann has extended the limits of possibilities for movable puppets with his 5 metre tall Dundu. Due to their huge scale, the puppets appear to be mighty, but nevertheless they suggest grace and fragility. The web-like structure of the skin, made of specially treated threads, suggests lightness and transparence. With 14 movable limbs, operated by a team of 5 puppeteers, Dundu comes to life. Dundu´s simple and neutral form lend him a universal personality upon which the observer can project his own imagination. In addition, interaction and audience participation are made possible by Dundu´s extreme flexibility and his human-like movements. All these features of Dundu´s performance result in an audience which is captivated in wonder and fascination.

These Giant Puppets and their operating teams can be engaged for shows and events. The mobility of of the Giant Puppets is co-ordinated by teams of up to 5 trained puppeteers, and shows can be presented in a wide range of different settings. Tobias Husemann and his team also build “made to measure” figures, and are capable of fulfilling every customer's desire for a special and personal puppet, figure or mask.
